GMH Associates was Lead Design firm for the repair and renovation of existing 3-story Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) Building 33531. The design included the Mechanical Boiler Building 33532, which is adjacent to the 49,500 SF BEQ.

In addition to renovation of the sleeping rooms located on the perimeter of each floor, portions of the core areas were reconfigured to provide a more efficient, modern quality of life for the Marines.

The first floor includes a large laundromat, a manager's office located conveniently across the corridor and a tool room.

A common kitchen with residential appliances is located on the second floor. We selected this location due to its centrality and relative convenience for all residents. The second floor core area also accommodates a large multi-purpose room and a large storage room.

The third floor core area includes one large and one small storage room. A portion of the core is provides the ultimate home theatre environment with surround sound, theatre seating and hi-definition visual equipment. A smaller laundromat is also located on this floor.
