GMH Associates designed a facility to support the mission of the Force Recon Platoon stationed at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. This project constructed a 6,885 SF headquarters building with administrative space for four platoons and a 4,600 SF armory. The armory includes an outdoor space with fixed weapons cleaning tables covered by a canopy. The interior is divided into 7 platoon cages, an ammo tech cage, and HQ platoon cage, as well as a maintenance area. An admin duty office space was created within the armory as well as a men's shower/locker area. The mechanical and electrical rooms are located outside the secured walls of the armory.
