Design-Build
New Construction

This project constructed a new 10,120 SF armory for storage and routine maintenance of small arms and emergency gear. The facility is being equipped with a loading dock. The complex is designed to be shared by two units, each with its own armory space flanking a shared weapons cleaning area.

The design consists of a single story, heavily reinforced building meeting the MIL-HDBK-1013/1A, Physical Security of Facilities, MIL-HDBK-1013/10, Design Guidelines for Security Fencing, Gates, Barriers, and Guard Facilities, May 1993, OPNAVINST 5530.13C, 2003

The design provides for two points of entry secured with Class 5 vault doors with day gates. Wire mesh cages divide the space to accommodate the installation of weapons storage lockers.
