GMH was Lead Design Firm for this 3,600 SF split-face CMU building which serves as a law enforcement, emergency medical service and visitor's center for the Bureau of Land Management, California Highway Patrol and U.S. Border Patrol.

The design included reinforced interior walls for detainee cells, several out buildings, security fencing with electronic gates, a well, a 70,000 SF parking/marshalling area with lighting, security gates, kiosk for vehicles up to 80 feet long and a full equipped caretaker facility.

Our team's design and calculations made it possible to produce the finest quality product using the existing sand for fill and subgrade base with filter fabric, saving the BLM more than $80,000 in import materials.
