New Construction

GMHA designed a 2,691 SF pre-engineered range facility as part of this project for the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO). The facility consists of a Production Instructors’ Room, a Control Room, a Telecommunications Room, and a large Classroom with an adjacent storage area.

The large classroom was equipped with moveable walls to enable the creation of 3 small rooms. Two types of moveable wall systems were provided. The wall installed in the large classroom has a hinged pairs operation, featuring acoustically rated panels hinged together in evenly matched pairs. An accordion true pantograph frame wall system was installed to separate the storage area from the training/classroom area.
